BACKGROUND: In July of 2023, Council approved Council Policy 6-1, which adopts an “Open for Business” culture in the City of Lawton. The policy removed all administrative rules, defined how to interpret the code, provided direction on training, code adoptions, plan review timeframes, and the like. At this time, staff will provide an update on the success of the implementation of Council Policy 6-1.
