BACKGROUND: The support letter for the Lawton Area Transit System is for the Federal Transit Administration (FTA) Low/No Emission Grant for facilities and vehicles. The letter of support shows that the City wants to see the transfer center and operations facilities built to help grow the program.
The grant submissions were due, April 19, 2024, which is why the signed supported letter needs to be ratified.
