BACKGROUND: The locations covered by the agreement will not only contribute to a stable connection within the City Network, but also play a crucial role in creating a safe community for citizens. By securing stable connections in key areas, we are able to enhance communication and potentially expand services, such as placing security cameras in parks. By utilizing technology for public safety measures, it demonstrates a commitment to ensuring the well-being of residents and visitors, providing them a safe community and for the citizens in a True North fashion. Note: because this is a multi-year agreement it contains language stating “The Customer may also terminate if at any time funding is not appropriated for this service in any given fiscal year."

KEY ISSUES:  The approval of the agreement represents a significant step forward for the City, ensuring a more efficient and cohesive billing process. With all connections unified under a single agreement, administrative simplicity is achieved, and the likelihood of billing discrepancies is reduced. Moreover, the establishment of reliable connections across all designated locations will not only enhance operational efficiency, but also provide a stable foundation for future infrastructure developments.
