BACKGROUND: The City of Lawton is committed to enhancing the quality of life for its residents and providing engaging recreational opportunities for both citizens and visitors. As part of this ongoing commitment, the city is exploring ways to promote increased water recreation at the Schoolhouse Slough recreational area. Per council’s previous direction, staff issued a Request for Proposals for the operation and management of the convenient store and gas station. These facilities are key to providing the necessary amenities for our lake visitors.
