BACKGROUND: In September of 2023, the City Council authorized a letter of intent which was submitted to the Oklahoma Opioid Abatement Board, notifying the Board of the City’s intent to apply for grant funds.  The grant application window is now open.  As part of the application, a resolution authorizing the application is required to be attached to the application. The City’s application proposal includes a partnership with the Comanche County Health Department to address opioid prevention, in addition to providing Narcan to the Lawton Police Department.
