STAFF INFORMATION SOURCE:  Antonio Hopson, Parks and Ground Superintendent

BACKGROUND: Bryce Mosley presented a project proposal to the city aimed at enhancing both the aesthetic appeal and functionality of the McMahon Dog Park, with the intention of creating a pleasant and secure environment for pet owners to enjoy with their furry companions. Proposed improvements include new fencing, removal of limbs and tripping hazards, and the installation of shade, dog toys, and seating. He delivered a presentation to the City Council on March 12, 2024. Pending approval from the City Council, Bryce plans to seek support from the Lawton Enhancement Trust Authority. Bryce estimates the cost of his project (materials, supplies, tools, other) to be approximately $20,500.  Following the completion of the project, it will be brought back to the City Council for consideration of accepting the improvements as a donation.
