BACKGROUND: Lake Helen Trail Project EN2401 will extend the existing pedestrian path along the east side of Lake Helen to the flagpole area at the north side of the lake with 1,714 feet of new 10’ wide accessible path. This project also provides for the construction of 758 feet of new 5’ wide sidewalk which will connect the flagpole area with the existing fishing pier and foot bridge located nearby. The contract time of the project specified is 45 calendar days. This is in accordance with the True North Culture Statement by providing a more efficient service to the citizens of Lawton.

KEY ISSUES: N/A
FUNDING SOURCE: FY24 had $600,000 budgeted in SIDEWLKSST Account. $550,000 will be used for Project EN2401. After this encumbrance the SIDEWLKSST Account will have a balance of $50,000.
