BACKGROUND: The mayor and council will meet in executive session to discuss particular candidates who have submitted applications for the position of city attorney. Section 307B.1 of Title 25, Oklahoma Statutes authorizes the executive session of a public body for the purpose of discussing the employment, hiring, appointment, promotion, demotion, disciplining or resignation of any individual salaried public officer or employee.
