BACKGROUND: On June 27, 2022, LPD Unit #6614 was involved in an accident resulting in Claim#:7004909160-1-2 being filed with Bristol West Insurance Co. On August 19, 2022, Bristol West Insurance Co. issued payment on the claim via check 1633870975 in the amount of $3,524.59. This check was deposited into the city’s General Fund. The Police Department needs to move the funds from the Bristol West Insurance Co payment to the appropriate expense account so that repairs to Unit #6614 can be scheduled and completed. On December 20, 2021, LPD Unit #6620 was involved in an accident resulting in Claim#:730-22-00545110A CI0009456196 being filed with United States Postal Service. The United States Postal Service issued payment on the claim via check 032162241 in the amount of $6,057.65. This check was also deposited into the city’s General Fund. The Police Department needs to move the funds from the United States Postal Service payment to the appropriate expense account so that the repairs to Unit #6620 can be scheduled and completed. The total amount to be moved is $9,582.24.
