BACKGROUND: This matter involves the workers’ compensation claim of Matthew Wade, a previous employee of the City of Lawton, Streets Department who alleges injuries to his body as a whole for injuries to his right leg, right foot, disfigurement and psychological overlay that occurred on June 13, 2019. Settlement has been reached subject to City Council approval with claimant agreeing to accept the City’s offer of $31,325.00, including $6,265.00 as attorney’s fees.

 

It was the opinion of the City’s Workers’ Compensation attorney that the award was consistent with the medical evidence.
