BACKGROUND: On June 13, 2017, Council awarded a contract to Genuine Parts Company d/b/a NAPA Auto Parts for the purpose of providing repair parts management for City Vehicles and Equipment. This program manages the inventory of all repair parts including warranty claims, warehousing, researching, purchasing, returning, etc. The term for that contract was established at a one (1) year period with up to four (4) successive one (1) year extensions. The final extension for the contract is set to expire June 13, 2022. It is desired to issue an RFP to receive proposals from competitive vendors providing this service. Evaluation of competitive vendors for this program was identified as recommendation #105 of the 2020 Management, Operations, Staffing and Efficiency Study performed by the Novak Consulting Group.
