BACKGROUND: City contract 2020-10 was awarded in 2020 to develop a complete Parks, Sports & Recreation, Trails and Open Space Master Plan. It has been determined that Lee West park may be a suitable location for a west-end splash pad and additional amenities. Since the Master Plan will not include detail siting, it is staff intent to increase the scope of services of the original agreement. This will add the concept design for Lee West Park to include all amenities, based on the Master Plan analysis, to include the possibility of new structures, such as a splash park, playground, picnic areas, parking lot, playing fields/courts and any other amenities the contractor deems appropriate.
