BACKGROUND: Attached for the Council’s consideration is a resolution implementing a 1.5% increase in water, sewer, refuse, and landfill rates for all customers, subject to approval by the Lawton Water Authority, as set forth in Exhibit “A” of the Resolution. These increases are in accordance with the FY 2021-2022 adopted budget for the City of Lawton as well as Resolution 02-97 to recommend annual minimum utility rate adjustments based on the increases of the consumer price index. The resolution also implements a $0.50 increase in the rolling stock fee, which is in accordance with the FY 2021-2022 adopted budget for the City of Lawton
