BACKGROUND: Each year, the Oklahoma Municipal League (OML) selects priority issues that impact the future well-being of Oklahoma’s cities and towns. These issues are ratified by OML members at the OML Conference. OML then collaborates with legislators to submit these ideas as legislation and works to guide them through the legislative process. The City of Lawton has identified a legislative request concerning Oklahoma State Statutes 68-3113 and 68-3131 that they would like OML to consider. If approved, the proposed resolution will provide OML with the necessary proof of support to consider this legislative request.
