BACKGROUND: On February 13, 2024, the City Council directed staff to develop a sign program designed to discourage panhandling and promote donations to established charitable organizations. Since then, staff has commenced the installation of signs in multiple locations throughout the City. The Council now requests an update on the status of the program and will offer additional guidance to staff as needed.
