INITIATOR:  John Ratliff, City Manager

STAFF INFORMATION SOURCE:  John Ratliff, City Manager

BACKGROUND: The Traffic Commission currently oversees tasks such as coordinating traffic reports, addressing traffic-related complaints, and providing recommendations to the City Council, city traffic engineer, chief of police, and other officials regarding improvements to traffic conditions and the enforcement of traffic regulations.

These responsibilities are now fully managed internally by City staff, ensuring they are handled directly and efficiently. To further enhance operational efficiency and deliver more timely service to our citizens, it is recommended that the Traffic Commission be dissolved.

This change will streamline processes and allow City staff to continue addressing traffic-related matters effectively without the need for an additional layer of oversight.
