BACKGROUND: The nursing home located at 1301 NW Andrews Avenue burnt in 2021 and was declared dilapidated on January 18, 2022.  One of the requirements for a commercial property prior to demolition is an asbestos inspection by a certified company.  In September 2022, the State of Oklahoma had Darwin Chesnut of Environmental Action, Inc. test the site and it is his belief the site contains asbestos.  By Local, State and Federal regulations a wet demolition will have to be performed.   The demolition will need to be completed in accordance with ODOL and ODEQ requirements.  The total cost of the project is $261,800.00
