BACKGROUND: During a report from the Police Department on October 10, 2023, the City Council discussed neighborhood watch programs within the City of Lawton. The discussions highlighted the significance of these programs in contributing to the safety and well-being of our communities. City Council will now discuss the prospect of expanding neighborhood watch programs to encompass all neighborhoods throughout Lawton. This initiative reflects the City's unwavering dedication to building safer, more connected neighborhoods and ensuring that residents in every corner of our community have access to the benefits and support offered by Neighborhood Watch programs.
