STAFF INFORMATION SOURCE:  Joe Don Dunham, Finance Director; Cynthis Williams, Deputy Public Works Director, Jason Mansel, Solid Waste Superintendent; Christine James, Internal Auditor

BACKGROUND: This resolution is a companion item to the one above regarding landfill code changes and is a housekeeping item that would revise code to match an over twenty-year long practice.  Billing for landfill charges were historically processed by Revenue Service in conjunction with utility billing, therefore the rules and regulations pertaining to utility bills were extended to encompass landfill charges.  Landfill fees are in a separate section of code from utility bills and during a recent review of City Code, it was determined that clarifications needed to be made to allow the practice to continue.  This resolution includes landfills fess that mirror the fees for utility bills.
