BACKGROUND: Safe Haven Baby Boxes prevent illegal abandonment of newborns by raising awareness and serve as a last resort option for safely surrendering a child. There are currently 3 Safe Haven Baby Boxes in Oklahoma: located at Duncan Fire Station #2, OKC Fire Station #21, and St. Anthony’s Hospital in OKC.
