BACKGROUND: In April 2024, the Lawton Water Authority received an update and a recommendation concerning the City’s concessionaire agreements to include the agreement at the time with the Lawton Boat Club, Inc. (LBC). During that report, representatives from the LBC presented an alternative plan that included specific fee adjustments over the life of the agreement. These adjustments have been made along with several suggested edits from the city’s legal department to include language concerning failure to remit lease payment. If approved this agreement will be a five year agreement that will expire on June 30th, 2029.
