INITIATOR:  Ward 4 Councilman George Gill

STAFF INFORMATION SOURCE:  Michael Watrous, Public Works Director

BACKGROUND: The road segment on 38th street between Gore and Bishop was authorized by citizen vote on the 2017 Ad Valorem. Upon detailed evaluation, rehabilitation of the road segment between Gore and Lee was determined to be an effective measure at the best cost for the citizens. This road segment was authorized to be placed on the rehabilitation program by council on October 8th, 2024. Funding has been allocated to this project now, and bidding is requested to meet the council’s intent to Throttle Up in 2025. The segment of 38th from Lee to Bishop is still pending funding allocation, but will require reconstruction to widen the road, provide additional safety measures, and upgrade affected infrastructure.
