BACKGROUND: Lawton City Council previously pledged payments from the General Fund for repairs related to the June 15, 2023, hailstorm in the amount of $325,601.40. $244,073.56 was spent in FY24, leaving a balance of $81,527.84. Lawton City Council also previously pledged payment from the General Fund for the repair, renovation, restoration and maintenance of Carnegie Library Town Hall and National Guard Armory. Of the $307,096.00 allocated, none was spent in FY24. Upon approval of the 2025 Partnership Support Agreement between the City of Lawton and McMahon Auditorium Authority, a budget is needed to allocate $388,623.84 to the General Fund for repairs to McMahon Memorial Auditorium, Carnegie Library Town Hall, National Guard Armory, and John Denney Playhouse.
