BACKGROUND: As a member of the Oklahoma Municipal Retirement Fund, the City of Lawton is entitled to cast by resolution one (1) vote for the office of At-Large Trustee. The proposed resolution will act as the ballot for the election of this position. With the approval of this resolution, the City of Lawton vote will go to Robert B. Johnston, City Manager for the City of Clinton. Mr. Johnston has been involved with local government since 1981, holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, and has received many accolades for his work. Mr. Johnston has served on the City Management Association of Oklahoma, the Municipal Electric Systems of Oklahoma, the Oklahoma Municipal League, and the Oklahoma Municipal Power Authority. He is the current Vice Chairman of the OkMRF Board and chairs the OkMRF Administrative Committee.
