BACKGROUND: The Highland Cemetery staff maintain the grounds over 80 acres and containing 20,000 grave sites. They assist families with the arrangements for approximately 120 people each year. Staff responsibilities include mowing and maintenance, opening and closing grave sites, tree trimming, and aesthetic upkeep of the grounds. Recently, staff have been seeking digital solutions, including GIS data and digitizing old records, to help with record keeping. These efforts will help staff serve efficiently and community members will be able to connect with their passed loved ones.
