BACKGROUND: Since FY 1984-85 the City and the Center for Creative Living Corporation have had an agreement in which the City provided funds to the Center for Creative Living which provides services to senior citizens such as counseling services, health screenings, and physical education services to promote emotional and physical well-being and increase the quality of the senior citizen’s lives. The requested City of Lawton, Mayor/Council FY 2025 budget amount for this item is $15,844.00 as approved by the City Council. The proposed agreement would commence on July 1 2024, with funds paid to the Center for Creative Living in four (4) equal payments of $3,961.00, and payments will cease with the quarter ending June 30, 2025. Under the proposed agreement, the Center for Creative Living Corporation will be required to submit a quarterly report to the Mayor/Council containing information about activities and attendance in their different programs.
