BACKGROUND: Lynn Cordes, Director of Communications at Lawton Public Schools reached out to inquire about the process to host a Family Fun Night for LPS Staff & their families before school starts in Elmer Thomas Park near the Splashpad. She also requested permit fees be waived.
The event is schedule from August 6, 2024 from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m., to include set up and tear down. LPS Leadership felt it was key to kick off the year and show staff how important they are and how much we value their service and dedication is valued. This is the first time they have hosted an event like this for employees, but LPS anticipates similar events in the coming years.
