BACKGROUND: Designated Recipients of Federal Transit Administration (FTA) funds must provide documentation to the FTA showing how the transit grant funding (5307, 5310, 5337, and 5339(a) formula apportionments) will be split among multiple Direct Recipients in urbanized areas. The City of Lawton is a direct recipient and as such FTA can only make grants to Direct Recipients after the Designated Recipient provides a split or suballocation letter to the FTA regional office.
Split Letter for 2021 Section 5339 funds - $15,256.00
Approval for submitting grants must still have full Transit Trust authorization. This resolution authorizes the Chairman to sign these split letters.
