BACKGROUND: An application has been submitted for a Use Permitted on Review located at 4814 NW Floyd Ave, Lawton, OK 73505 (Lot 15, Block 11, Austin Addition Part Four). Volunteers of America have made an offer to purchase said property located, which has been accepted by the owners (the Baptist Foundation of Oklahoma). The offer is contingent upon approval of the Use Permitted on Review. Volunteers of America is looking to remodel the existing school into a patient medical and mental health treatment facility for women who are pregnant and/or have children.

East - R-1
West - R-1
The 2030 Land Use Plan for the surrounding area is:
North - Residential/Low Density
South - Residential/Low Density
East - Residential/Low Density
West - Residential/Low Density
Fire Marshalls Review: Hydrant(s) required per Appendix B-C of the 2015 IFC for hydrant spacing and fire flow requirements. Full Plan review will be done once building permit is applied for.
The Notice of public hearing was mailed to 85 owners of property within 300 feet of the requested area on May 20, 2024, and proper notice was published in The Lawton Constitution on May 26, 2024.
The City Planning Commission recommended approval on May 16, 2024.
