BACKGROUND: The City of Lawton conducted a public hearing on the FY 2025 proposed budget on May 28, 2024. Notice of the date, time, and place of the hearing, together with the proposed budget summary, was published in the Lawton Constitution on May 12, 2024. City Council directed staff to remove revenues generated from an increase on the utility bill in accordance with the Consumer Price Index, Dallas-Fort Worth-Arlington area as of March 2024. Additional revisions to the FY 2025 preliminary budget are listed on the Budget Revision #2 Summary.
