BACKGROUND: Staff has been approached by citizens requesting the waiving of fees for a City-wide garage sale that will be split over 2 weekends in October. The first one will be the east side of town the first weekend in October (10/3-10/7). The west side of Lawton will be on the second weekend of October (10/10-10/14). Council waived the fees and the permit requirement for the last ones that were held in July 2022.
The fee is $5.75 for each permit that would be required.
Staff recommends approving the waiving of the fees and the permit requirements in accordance with the True North Culture Statement.
