BACKGROUND: The City of Lawton provides voluntary pet insurance coverage through Nationwide Pet Insurance. Nationwide's pet insurance is a reimbursement indemnity plan that reimburses members for a portion of eligible veterinary expenses related to accidents injuries and illnesses.  Nationwide offers a wide variety of coverage plans.  All of Nationwide’s plans are 100% employee paid.  There is no actual contract with Nationwide as the contracts are between Nationwide and the employee. The City just provides the benefit for those that wish to have it and allows employees to utilize payroll deduction if available.
