BACKGROUND: This agreement between the City of Lawton and Freese and Nichols, Inc. calls for the Professional Engineering Services and the Preparation of Contract Documents for the pavement rehabilitation or reconstruction of approximately 1.5-mile roadway section along Sheridan Rd from 1/2 mile south of Bishop Rd. to Lee Blvd, Project No. EN2303. This agreement includes collecting topographic, utility, boundary, and traffic counts, geotechnical investigations and pavement recommendation, evaluating drainage areas and performing hydraulic analyses, preparation of legal descriptions for right-of-way, as needed, and preparation of construction plans and specifications in accordance with ODOT/City of Lawton requirements. This agreement also includes the project management services to assist the city with project inspection, preparation and evaluation of change orders, and reviewing and approving the payment applications during the construction.
Scope of services shall be completed within five hundred forty-four (544) working days following authorization to proceed, not including City review time. Cost for the initial services phase is $1,042,000.00.
