BACKGROUND: The City of Lawton requests to utilize the Oklahoma Department of Transportation's (ODOT) right-of-way along the west side of the southbound lane of Exit 39B, Business 281 Lawton, for the purpose of constructing, operating, and maintaining a ten-foot-wide concrete walking trail (Engineering Project EN2401-Lake Helen Trail) along the east side of Lake Helen in Elmer Thomas Park. This Memorandum of Understanding has been reviewed and approved by ODOT general counsel, and grants that use to the City of Lawton. This is in accordance with the True North Culture statement by providing a more efficient service to the citizens of Lawton.
