BACKGROUND: The structure(s) located at 1511 SW Texas Avenue was declared dilapidated pursuant to Lawton City Code, Division 6-5-1 on January 24, 2023. Currently Chapter Section 6-1-1-108 allows for six (6) permits to complete the repairs to a dilapidated structure. If the remodel is not completed within the 180 days code states, the property must come back to Council to determine if another 180 days should be granted. The property owner is requesting another 180 days. The last permit expired on October 13, 2023. There has been no inspection called in on this property.
Staff feels that they have not made substantial progress on the structure.
