BACKGROUND: During a review of our fees, it was discovered by staff that the permit/inspection state and administrative fees need to be reduced. They were increased in 2022 by 15% along with all of the other fees that the City charges. State Statute states that these fees shall not exceed $5.00 and the City is currently charging $5.35. This resolution will put the state fee back in line with what the City pays the state which is $4.00 and the administrative fee will be back in line with what our peer cities use which is $0.50.

This resolution is in accordance with the True North Culture Statement in that the City is being transparent and that we are making the City a safer place for it’s citizens.
