Consider adopting a resolution authorizing the City Attorney to settle the two (2) pending tort claims from the Lawton Family YMCA, said settlement to be in the total amount of $100,000.00, and authorizing the City Attorney to prepare and file said resolution and all appropriate settlement documents for the Court’s approval.

BACKGROUND: This resolution is a settlement agreement to conclude the two (2) pending tort claims filed by Frank Walker on behalf of the Lawton Family YMCA.
YMCA: Claim in the amount of $346,847.21 for sewer backup on June 1, 2022
YMCA: Claim in the amount of $280,828.75 for sewer backup on December 13, 2022
The proposed settlement is to resolve both claims for the total amount of $100,000.00.
