BACKGROUND: As part of our commitment to transparency and accountability, the Animal Welfare Division has prepared a report detailing the current state of the department, ongoing projects, achievements, challenges faced, and comparisons with peer cities. This report will serve as a foundation for informed decision-making. City Council will deliberate the contents of the report and take action to further strengthen this department in areas of efficiency, world class customer service, an open for business environment, and an overall realignment with the vision statement, “A Community of Choice Where Families Thrive!”
